The Brazilian Series of Poker’s Super High Roller Series is currently wrapping up in Costa do Sauipe, and the Czech’s have risen to the top in two events. Martin Kabrhel and Zdenek Zizka both scored wins in the high roller series sponsored by PokerStars.
Zdenek Zizka wins Main
Better known as ZZ, the young man from Czech Republic made a huge leap towards poker superstardom in Brazil by winning the $100,000 Super High Roller Main Event for $1.2 million. It’s his first high roller title.
But winning seems to come naturally for the 26 year-old who became the first Backgammon Masters Awarding Body Grandmaster titleholder to win a World Series of Poker bracelet, which he did this summer in a $1,000 event by beating Shaun Deeb heads-up.
More impressively, his win was one of 15 cashes he secured playing at the WSOP his very first time. This put him in the top 10 for WSOP Player of the Year points.
The Grandmaster has his own website, where he gives lessons and sells his book, “The Ziska Method,” and is just coming off a win at the Ultimate Backgammon Championship in Monte Carlo.
In Brazil, Ziska was part of a field of 36 and he beat Brazil’s Felipe Boianovsky heads-up. Boianovsky was trying win his second titles of the BSOP Super High Roller Series after taking down the $50,000 event.

Kabrhel kills
Martin Kabrhel injected himself into poker fandom consciousness in a big way this year through his antics at the WSOP and beyond. But there’s no doubt he has the goods in the talent department and his resent results speak to that fact.
With more than $16 million and handful of titles in his bag, he may be currently the best example of someone who is putting their money where their mouth is.
And he did it again at the BSOP High Roller $30,000 buy-in event where he beat Ottomar Ladva heads-up for the title.
Ladva, a chess grandmaster and the 2024 EPT Barcelona high roller champion, won the $20,000 event in this high roller series for $321,000 a few days after his runner-up finish here.
Kabrhel recently won a bracelet at the World Series of Poker Europe in the €10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty event (€188,500). He made three final tables at the WSOP in June, winning the $1,000 Mini Main event for $843,140.
Like it or not, he’s here to stay.
