Konig Pilsener
Konig describes Pilsener as “Life’s big events and everyday moments of refreshment are all the more enjoyable with König Pilsener. Germany’s first premium pilsener beer owes its exceptional taste to its high-quality production process…Goes perfectly with: Watching your favorite sport, evenings relaxing and laughing with friends.” It sounds more like an American beer commercial than a real description of the beer. But they do add “Our premium beer only contains four ingredients: the finest barley, carefully selected Hallertau hops from Germany’s most famous hop-growing region, pure water subject to strict quality controls, and our special König yeast from our brewery’s own cellars.”
Konig Pilsener has a 4.9% ABV, 0g fat, 0g protein, 7.6 carbs, 32 IBU and 139 calories based on a 11.2 oz. serving. It has a “Very Good” rating on Beer Advocate.
Our Review of Konig Pilsener

Recently I have tried several German beers, mainly lagers, pilsners, wheat beers and marzens. With the exception of Henninger, the lagers have ranged from very good to spectacular. Henninger Lager was the first one that wasn’t that great.
Konig Pilsener is another excellent beer. As a Pilsner it was advertised as a bit hoppier than a lager, and it was as advertised. I personally do not like hoppy beers, so I prefer several of the German lagers I have tried. However, Konig Pilsener is clean, crisp and refreshing and highly recommended. Next I am going to try the Bitburger Pilsener and it will be interesting to see how it compares.
