Athletic Brewing describes Cerveza Atletica as “a refreshingly bright take on a Mexican-style copper. Using the finest Munich malts, it boasts a lightly toasted malt character with a whisper of spicy florals before rolling into smooth and lightly sweet waves of bread crust and wheat. A medium-body brew that is big in flavor, it’s the epitome of easy drinking. A smooth and satisfying cooler must-have.” Cerveza Atletica has a 15 IBU, 60 calories, 14g carbohydrates, 1g protein and 0g fat. It has a “Good” rating on Beer Advocate.
Our Review of Cerveza Atletica
Cerveza Atletica is not Athletic Brewing’s most popular beer. When you see articles like “Top 10 non alcoholic beers,” three of their beers are usually mentioned: Run Wild IPA, Free Wave Hazy IPA and Upside Dawn Golden. Those three have won the most medals and have the most retail distribution. But this is our favorite Athletic Brewing beer. It has more taste then Upside Dawn and none of the bitterness of the IPAs. We liked this beer a lot. It was very drinkable and passed our main test of “beer that tastes like beer.” Having tried a lot of different non alcoholic beers, this is one of our favorites. It is an excellent alternative to a regular beer on a night you feel like having a beer but do not want to drink alcohol.
