Athletic Brewing describes Upside Dawn as “Classic craft Golden style. Refreshing, clean, balanced, and light-bodied. Subtle earthy and spicy notes are balanced with citrusy aromas. Brewed with premium Vienna Malt along with a combination of English and American hops. Crafted to remove gluten*.”

Upside Dawn has 45 calories, 10g carbohydrates, less than 1g protein, 0g fat and a 25 IBU. It is considered “gluten reduced” and has won several gold and silver medals. It has a “Good” rating on Beer Advocate.
Our Review of Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn
This is the second non alcoholic beer that we tried following the very disappointing Lagunitas IPNA. Several people recommended that we try Athletic Brewing instead. Upside Dawn was a huge improvement, but we still recommend several other non alcoholic beers that are better, including some from Athletic Brewing. It took one sip to say “Ok. This tastes like beer.” However, it tasted like a mass market lager. But it is still an excellent alternative to a regular beer on a night you feel like having a lighter beer but do not want to drink alcohol.
