The Non Alcoholic Beer Market
Go Brewing is a brewer of non alcoholic beers like Suspended in a Sunbeam Pils. The non alcoholic beer market has grown rapidly in recent years with the introduction of non alcoholic beers that taste more like regular beer. Non alcoholic beers have several health advantages over regular beers, including fewer calories, sugar, carbs and of course, alcohol. Non alcoholic means less than 0.5% alcohol, so non alcoholic beers can still have traces of alcohol. Many of Go Brewing’s beers come close to the limit.
Athletic Brewing is the current market leader in non alcoholic beers with an approximate 19% market share. More and more specialty non alcoholic breweries like Go Brewing are entering the market, as well as traditional breweries. Not a day goes by without some news story about the rise of non alcoholic beer and societal trends towards reducing alcohol intake.

Our Review of Suspended in a Sunbeam Pils
If you read our post about ProofNoMore, I bought 35 single non alcoholic beers to try. I started with non alcoholic beers from large well known breweries and followed that up with craft breweries. Then I moved on to non alcoholic breweries, starting with Athletic Brewing Lite, which was better than expected. Many of these were very good and barely discernable from beers with alcohol, but some were downright bad. Next I planned to try five from Go Brewing. In general I have not been impressed with Go Brewing’s beers and Suspended in a Sunbeam Pils is the last chance of finding one I like.
The Tasting
This was my favorite of the five Go Brewing beers I tried. It tasted like a real pilsner. The “fresh and light” description is accurate and the beer ranks up there with several of the non alcoholic lagers, pilsners & blonde ales I have tried. The 43 calories and 9g carbs are also lower than any of the beers in this category except for Athletic Brewing Lite at 25 calories and 5g fat. This is the only Go Brewing beer that I have tried that I would buy again.
