The Non Alcoholic Beer Market
Go Brewing is a brewer of non alcoholic beers like Street Cred After Hours Porter. The non alcoholic beer market has grown rapidly in recent years with the introduction of non alcoholic beers that taste more like regular beer. Non alcoholic beers have several health advantages over regular beers, including fewer calories, sugar, carbs and of course, alcohol. Non alcoholic means less than 0.5% alcohol, so non alcoholic beers can still have traces of alcohol. Many of Go Brewing’s beers come close to the limit.
Athletic Brewing is the current market leader in non alcoholic beers with an approximate 19% market share. More and more specialty non alcoholic breweries like Go Brewing are entering the market, as well as traditional breweries. Not a day goes by without some news story about the rise of non alcoholic beer and societal trends towards reducing alcohol intake.

Go Brewing Street Cred After Hours Porter
Street Cred After Hours Porter is a reformulated version of one of Go Brewing’s first beers. The brewery describes the beer as “The next step in our dark brew game… It’s a luxurious blend that’s both timeless and innovative with a nice combination of light vanilla and chocolate…We’ve listened to feedback to make this brew richer and more full bodied like it should be adding vanilla and changing a bunch of things up.” We believe that Street Cred After Hours Porter is one of Go Brewing’s regular beers, but it is out of stock everywhere as of this writing. Street Cred After Hours Porter has no rating on Beer Advocate and 3.31 out of 5 on Untappd.
Street Cred After Hours Porter has 83 calories, 18g carbs and 0g fat. It has 0.47% alcohol. There is no IBU and protein information.
Our Review of Street Cred After Hours Porter
If you read our post about ProofNoMore, I bought 35 single non alcoholic beers to try. I started with non alcoholic beers from large well known breweries and followed that up with craft breweries. Then I moved on to non alcoholic breweries, starting with Athletic Brewing Lite, which was better than expected. Many of these were very good and barely discernable from beers with alcohol, but some were downright bad. Next I planned to try five from Go Brewing. Their wheat beer was not good, the Hazy IPA not very hoppy and their peach and mango IPA not my taste. Next up is Street Cred After Hours Porter.
The Tasting
I have never had a non alcoholic porter, although Guinness as a stout is close. I could smell and taste the vanilla in this one, and overall I liked it more than Guinness 0. It had a lot more flavor.
However this beer is too rich to sit and drink by itself. After the original tasting, I finished it off with a spicy chicken stir fry, which paired well. If you like porters and stouts and you want to try this beer, I recommend having it with spicy foods or meat, but not by itself. I also found it very hard to rate, and chickened out by rating it “3 beers out of 5.” It is just too different from any other non alcoholic beers I have tried and I don’t know where to rank it.
