The Linq Promenade
The Linq Promenade Las Vegas is an outdoor shopping and entertainment venue located between The Linq and The Flamingo hotels with an open entrance directly on the Strip. The Promenade opened in 2014 and features a large number of restaurants, gift shops, rides and entertainment venues. Many of the restaurants have outdoor seating that faces the main middle section for people watching. It is a bustling place.
Restaurants
You could eat every meal every day for a week at The Link Promenade and not eat at every restaurant. Most are casual dining with reasonable prices for Las Vegas but not inexpensive. Expect to pay around $20 for a sandwich or burger, except at In-N-Out Burger, which has a large presence with its giant 50s style entrance near the end of The Promenade. We have eaten at Maxie’s, Virgil’s Real Barbecue and Favorite Bistro, all of which were good and reasonably priced given the venue. The biggest disappointment was at Maxie’s, where we could not get an outside table and the inside was nothing special. A complete map is available at Promenade Map.
There are many other food options to choose from which should satisfy any taste.
Shopping
The flagship shopping location at The Linq Promenade is I Love Sugar, self described as “a 14,000 square foot sugar wonderland.” Even if you buy nothing, you could probably spend an hour or more in this store browsing its ridiculously extensive selection of candies. The number of different types of gummies, Pez dispensers, licorice and more is beyond comprehension. Upstairs is a Candy Martini Bar featuring candy-infused martinis. Other stores include a hat shop, socks shop, Harley-Davidson and more, but I Love Sugar is the place to go.
Entertainment
The Promenade also features rides and entertainment. The Flylinq is a zipline that has 10 side-by-side ziplines that travel over the promenade. The High Roller is a Ferris wheel that goes up 550 feet and is the largest observation wheel in North America. The wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one revolution. We are too timid to try these.
Some nights there are live bands playing outside, and Brooklyn Bowl is a bowling alley with live concerts. Finally, there is Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club, which has stand-up comedy up to seven nights a week.
The Linq Promenade Las Vegas – The Bottom Line
The Linq Promenade is a fun place to go in Las Vegas. It is a great place to eat and people watch, browse shops, or if so inclined, take in one or more of the rides and entertainment options. I Love Sugar alone is worth the visit. We have only been there when the weather was comfortable (60s, 70s and 80s). We can’t say how it is when it is 110 degrees outside. However, when the weather is cooperative, it is a great place to be outside and have a meal in Las Vegas. Try to get an outside seat and watch the lines of people and their shenanigans going up and down the center of The Promenade. We highly recommend The Linq Promenade as a place to go when in Las Vegas.
