The Non Alcoholic Beer Market
Deschutes Brewery is a popular Oregon craft brewery that brews Fresh Squeezed IPA Non Alcoholic. The non alcoholic beer market has grown rapidly in recent years with the introduction of non alcoholic beers that taste more like regular beer. Non alcoholic beers have several health advantages over regular beers, including fewer calories, sugar, carbs and of course, alcohol. Non alcoholic means less than 0.5% alcohol, so non alcoholic beers can still have traces of alcohol.
Athletic Brewing is the current market leader in non alcoholic beers with an approximate 19% market share. More and more craft breweries like Deschutes are entering the market. Not a day goes by without some news story about the rise of non alcoholic beer and societal trends towards reducing alcohol intake.

Our Review of Deschutes Brewery Fresh Squeezed IPA Non Alcoholic

I have tried one other NA beer from Deschutes, their Black Butte NA. That beer was different than most NA beers I have tried, which have been mostly lager or pilsner styles. Black Butte NA is one of the best NA beers I have tried. It tastes like a regular beer, has no NA beer aftertaste and the coffee & chocolate taste description is spot on. The only downside is the high calorie and carb count.
I have tried very few new NA beers recently. I have had so many mediocre to bad ones and have grown tired of them. However, I thought that Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA was worth a try. The alcoholic version is highly rated and I liked the Black Butte NA a lot.
It did not disappoint. This is one of the better NA IPAs I have tried. I did not taste as much of the citrus flavor as described, but I also noticed little to none of the strange NA beer aftertaste that many have. The beer tasted a lot like a regular IPA. I have never had the alcoholic version, so I cannot say how close it was to that one. I personally do not favor fruit beers or even IPAs in general, but I did like this. So if you are an IPA lover and like citrus infused beers, this should be a good choice. My one concern is that you aren’t really saving much on calories and carbs over some of the regular IPA choices, particularly Lagunitas DayTime IPA.
